Tucson, AZ - El Paso, TX
4h37 - 318 mi (512 km)
We decided to head to El Paso in order to rest there before crossing Texas. The road was not very exciting except the fact that we had to drive through a sandstorm in New Mexico. I didn’t have a chance to take a picture since I had to focus on my driving. We arrived in El Paso at around 4pm and it really looks weird when you get there. The city is split in halves with a huge wall in between. On one side it looks like a typical Mexican city and on the other side like a typical small American city. Our Airbnb was about 40 minutes from the city center so we didn’t really visit the surroundings. We had one goal: get some rest before the long drive to San Antonio tomorrow.
