Catheys Valley, CA - Yosemite Valley, CA - Three Rivers, CA

Since we were next to the Yosemite National Park, we decided to spend the day there on our way to Three Rivers and the Sequoia National Park. We came here with my wife more than 4 years ago in Summer and we remembered that it was beautiful but way too crowded. The atmosphere was very different this time. Because of Covid all the buildings, stores and accommodations were closed and we were almost just by ourselves in the Yosemite Valley which was incredible. As usual we walked a little bit around, had a picnic in the cold weather and drove to our next destination in the afternoon. On the way we saw some of the sad damages done by the wildfires over the Summer and Fall. But it was still beautiful. We arrived at around 7pm in Three Rivers and were super happy to discover our fantastic Airbnb. Tomorrow we’ll visit the Sequoia National Park.
