Bend, OR
This was our last full day in Bend. We looked for an easy trail to walk with the kids and the Benham Falls Trail seemed perfect. The road to the trailhead was full of icy snow again and it could only allow one car to drive on the lane. Thankfully we didn’t crossed any other cars on the way to the trailhead. The walk to the falls (I would call it a rapid) was very nice and easy. We had to drive on the same snowy road on the way back. Unfortunately it was more challenging since many cars came our way. We had to let some of them pass and we had to pull over in the snow. And what had to happen, happened… The car got stuck in the snow and all the other cars left the scene. After about 20 minutes of pushing and pulling the cars and trying various maneuvers, we finally drove the car out of the snow and back on the lane. Tomorrow we will leave Bend with great memories. We really enjoyed this beautiful area and the extremely kind people we have met. We will definitely try to come back one day when all of this Covid thing will be over.
